APA’s solar panel installation project was completed in their Hampshire, Illinois Headquarters in December of 2024. Since then, APA has produced 106 megawatt hours of energy. This is equivalent to 164,884 pounds of CO2 emissions saved or 187,145 miles driven. Now, that’s a lot of conserved energy, and it’s only been the first year!
To put our solar panel installation in perspective, the CO2 savings are equivalent to the annual carbon sequestration of about 3,435 mature trees. Based on the industry average, a single tree absorbs approximatly 48 pounds of carbon dioxide every year, which amounts to 164,884 pounds of CO2.
Beyond the environmental benefits, APA’s solar panel investment is lowering operational overhead costs, proving that sustainability and profitability can operate hand-in-hand.
This first-year milestone is just the beginning. APA continues to look for ways to optimize energy efficiency even further and explore additional renewable energy technologies. Our Team here at APA is grateful for today and excited for the future!
